7 young models who are ready to change the world
With the onset of the spring-summer 2020 fashion season, a new wave of models is coming, ready to do everything possible to leave their mark on history. Each of them asks himself a question, what needs to be done in this crowd of talents to stand out? Making an exclusive Celine or becoming the new gucci-girl Alessandro Michele is a sure way to attract the attention of the fashion world, but for Gen Z models should do more than just walk the catwalk. They must defend something and fight for something. In honor of the release of the new Vogue T-shirts, we decided to talk with 7 openings of the season about what needs to be changed in fashion now and how to do it in one of the most competitive industries in the world.
The 19-year-old Jamaican model, Tash Ogeir, embodies the light coolness of Edie Slimane's Parisian bourgeois aesthetic. The model debuted at the Celine Fall-Winter 2019/2020 show. The girl is inspired by the career of Iman and Naomi Campbell and considers them their idols in the fashion world. Tash hopes to follow in their footsteps: "Inspiring others, paving their own path to fame."
Thai model Yan Baibong is already a favorite of Chanel. The girl has no equal in versatility both on the catwalk and in fashionable editorial articles. Earlier, Yan was shy of her high growth, but now the girl is grateful to the modeling industry for the fact that she has gained self-confidence and that different girls can gain the same confidence in their own abilities and attractiveness. Jan says: "Be yourself. Forget your fears and follow your dreams."
British Mitch Green was first seen in the Westfield Stratford City mall, after which her modeling career began. The girl made her debut on the Christopher Kane fall-winter 2019/2020 show and is now a sought-after model. Her inspiration is all the models that remain true to themselves no matter what. Mitch says it’s never known what lies ahead and you just need to enjoy the moment.
Ikram Abdi Omar
23-year-old Ikram Abdi Omar has unshakable self-confidence, and her main goal is to motivate young girls that the turban does not limit them to anything. Decorating the cover of Vogue Arabia in April 2019 with Halima Aden and Amina Adan, and stepping on the Molly Goddard catwalk, the London model is confidently moving towards becoming a real driving force in the fashion industry.

Rosie Ridding blood modeling. Her parents were also models in the past, but Rosie knows balance is a key element in her career. The girl is the embodiment of a real bohemian spirit. She poses environmental issues – from sustainable development to animal conservation, at the forefront of her career. Rosie says: “I would really like big brands to really do their best to change the materials they use and solve the climate problem. I want to use the money I earned as donations to save animals suffering from human activities.”
Before the model of Urvasi Umrao was found in Mumbai, she believed that the modeling was intended exclusively for Bollywood stars. Today, she seeks to base her self-esteem not only on her appearance, but also on not comparing herself with other models. Urvasi was greatly influenced by the Coco Rocha model, which struck the girl with her personal convictions. Urvasi is sure that there is no need to compromise with her education. This important detail is simply necessary in order to understand what to do in the future.
The British model Delphi McNichol was first spotted three years ago. The girl left the mall in her father’s old shirt and could not believe that she considered the future model. In February, Delphi made her debut at the Gucci Fall-Winter 2019/2020 show, and her aesthetics blend perfectly with the vision of creative director Alessandro Michele. The 20-year-old model has a passion for sustainable development and social activity that sets her apart from the rest.
