Dior and Stüssy launch a joint collection
Fashionable French House Dior has confirmed its collaboration with Sean Stussi, founder of the iconic Stüssy streetwear label.
Sean Stussi left his eponymous brand in 1996, remaining quite far from the fashion industry, except for the release of rare collections with his signature S / DOUBLE print.
In turn, Jones loves collaboration, which combines the worlds of youth culture and fine art. So, he previously involved KAWS, Raymond Pettibon and Daniel Arsham, and Stüssy, founded in the 1980s for Jones, was also an occasion to return to the past.
“I wore Stüssy from head to toe all the time as a teenager. “I was really obsessed,” said Jones, who first discovered the brand at age 14. “For me, working with someone like Sean is a real honor.” He is an artist, that’s the whole point. If you can create a line that is memorable, then this is art. That’s why I wanted to create a collection with him: he made a cult from an inscription made by hand. ”
The collaboration of designers took place as part of the Dior Men Pre-Fall 2020 collection, which the French label will present on December 3 in Miami.
