The final show of the first day of Paris Fashion Week was Saint Laurent SS20. Once again, brand creative director Anthony Vaccarello held a show against the backdrop of the Eiffel Tower. Trocadero Square was decorated with hundreds of spotlights, and models defiled under the tracks of contemporary French composer SebastiAn.

The show was opened by deep V-neck blouses, denim bikes and short shorts. This casual block of the collection was replaced by evening dresses: sharp-cut jackets, short mini, bare-legged models, dresses with bare shoulders and an asymmetrical bodice and trouser suits embroidered with hundreds of sequins. Speaking of costumes, the designer introduced an updated version of the le smoking costume, the brand’s business card. The first pantsuit for women was developed by Yves Saint Laurent back in 1968.

No less vivid was the show of the spring-summer Dior collection. Especially for the show, Maria Grazia Curie recreated on the catwalk a garden with real trees that would later be planted in different parts of Paris.
