In summer, special attention should be paid to hair removal. If in winter you remove hairs and do not pay attention to skin irritation, then in summer it attracts the attention of not only yours, but also those around you. To prevent hair growth and irritation, you need to know how to care for skin after hair removal.
Whatever type of hair removal you choose, all of them to some extent injure the skin. A razor, epilator or wax damages and violates the upper layer of the skin, as a result of which inflammation, irritation and ingrown hair can occur.
Use aftershave. To soothe the skin and relieve irritation after hair removal, use a special lotion for sensitive skin. If you do not have a special lotion, you can use a regular baby cream or male after shave.
Disinfect your skin after hair removal. If you notice that after using a razor or epilator spots have appeared and the skin is very hot, use 70% alcohol, a solution of peroxide, chlorhexidine, or propolis or calendula tinctures.

Remove irritation with ointments. Ointments and creams that contain panthenol are excellent in coping with the problem. They quickly remove irritation, soothe the skin, remove germs and restore the structure of the skin.
Use fresh squeezed aloe juice. This tool will moisturize the skin well, relieve redness and itching after hair removal. Take an aloe leaf and make a gel out of it, apply to cleansed skin of the body, do not rinse off.
Ingrown hairs after hair removal. If you notice that after hair removal you have grown hairs, do the following procedure: apply a warm moist compress to the damaged area for several minutes to soften the skin. Just dampen a towel in hot water, wring it and squeeze it to the ingrown hair. When the towel has cooled, place it again under hot water. If you see ingrown hairs “pressed” into the skin, this treatment will soften them and bring them closer to the surface.
