The South Korean brand MSCHF decided to answer the question “What is Jesus wearing” and released a pair of sacred sneakers called Jesus Shoes. The brand used Nike Air Max 97 sneakers, and poured holy water from the Jordan River into the platform’s air cushion.

We thought about the Arizone Iced Tea and Adidas sneakers, where they sold shoes with an advertisement for a cold tea beverage company. We wanted to declare an absurd culture of collaborations, so we decided to collaborate with Jesus Christ. Obviously, there was only one thing – that he walked on water, – commented in an interview with The New York Post brand sales director Daniel Greenberg.

The sneakers were based on the first book of the New Testament, which tells how Jesus Christ walked on water. The name of the book is printed on one of the sneakers, and on the laces you can see the pendant with Jesus crucified on the cross. The back also says the brand name MSCHF and the abbreviation INRI, which means "Jesus of Nazareth, King of the Jews."

Sneakers have nothing to do with the Nike brand. The guys from MSCHF bought them at a retail price, and customized them with their own hands.

Not without an advertising campaign, some shots of which were shot in the church.

The first batch of sneakers was sold out within one minute. The brand plans to produce small batches of these sneakers twice a month – every second and fourth Tuesday at 11 a.m. They can be purchased on the StockX retail site for $ 3,000 (at a retail price of $ 1,425).
