The most exciting offers of this season were technical. The costume became the main part of the collection, gradually turning into glamorous clothing for relaxation. The main story here was the hybridization of silk twill and knitwear. New advances in production made it possible to do laser cutting with cady-fringe and raffia, so there were lace patterns on dresses and skirts that added a bit of a futuristic spirit. It is he who claims to be the main place in the new decade.

The spring-summer 2020 collection was dedicated to Jeremy Scott by Pablo Picasso and his muses. The first image resembled the artist’s painting “The Girl in the Mirror”, the outfit in which Bella Hadid appeared – “Harlequin”, and Kaya Gerber was “The Girl with the Mandolin” – the designer should pay tribute to the theme. The idea of “model as canvas” allowed Scott to play with two-dimensionality – a concept that created one of his most memorable collections – life-size doll clothes for the spring-summer 2017 season.

Reflections on Picasso led Scott to bullfighting and the costumes of bullfighters, flamenco appeared in the form of a red polka dot dress. The creative director said that all the prints were hand-drawn in the studio and then digitized. Although most often Moschino has some kind of social subtext, this time the designer flirted with the idea of craftsmanship, both of a brilliant artist and of his own. Well, with the spring-summer 2020 collection, he undoubtedly demonstrated it.
