Milan Fashion Week: Marni, Etro, Tod’s
Spread the love

In Milan, Fashion Week continues. Italian designers are skillfully proving that despite the abundance of beautiful brands around the world, the Made in Italy label remains the most desired, and there are many reasons for this.

Marni

Marni are actively moving along the path of sustainable fashion. In the spring-summer 2020 season, most of the items were made from recycled textiles and leather, as well as organic cotton fabrics.

The spring-summer 2020 collection is a metaphor for the tropics. Bright shades, deconstructed silhouettes with the help of cuts and asymmetry, to some extent psychedelic prints – the clothes look insightful, but romantic, conscious, and at the same time dreamy. Francesco Risso wanted to create images that evoke "ecstatic sensations" and "pleasant trembling." In essence, he wanted to create a fashion that penetrates deep into the mind. And he did it.

Etro

In the best traditions of the brand, the Etro spring-summer 2020 collection was filled with bohemian, aesthetic and feminist things. But the main motive of the collection was the hippie culture, which is embedded in the brand’s DNA: relaxed dresses in mini and maxi lengths; embroidered kimonos, vests and boleros; velvet cardigans.

A series of images consisting of voluminous trousers and men's shirts looked especially good. Models walked along the runway barefoot, in classic shirts, casually tucked into jeans with a paisley pattern. All of them look so easy and relaxed that I want to try them on immediately and be imbued with the spirit of freedom that they personify.

Tod’s

Tod's spring-summer 2020 collection is dedicated to the timeless Italian style, so it was built around the idea of an ideal everyday urban wardrobe. The basis is light leather outerwear: sports bomber jackets, coats, trench coats. They all fit perfectly with midi skirts, day dresses with asymmetrical accents and classic shirts.

The exclusiveness of this Italian fashion house lies in impeccable craftsmanship, the highest quality of materials and high-tech detailing. Brand things are well-designed, timeless elements that will become a suitable investment. Two main trends of the season – suits and laser cutting – were also presented in the collection. For example, a skirt with a floral motif or a coat with an abstract pattern. They refreshed the line with zebra prints.
