Rihanna has released a new collection of Fenty
Rihanna launched the first Fenty collection in 2020, which surpassed her previous line in May last year. The new “Release 2-20” collection is dedicated to freedom in all its manifestations – be it freedom of movement or freedom of thought. The designer decided to create a collection of functional casual wear that combines punk military style and sporty glamorous aesthetics.
In practice, this utilitarian collection includes classic military cloaks and functional parkas, burnt orange anoraks, dark denim jackets with bomber elements, mint green windbreakers with satin collars and lightweight tracksuits made of soft “ribbed” knitwear. Volumetric high-neck sweaters in a shade of khaki and mustard reflect the literal representation of the brand's mission – "to help move through life at its own maximum speed."
In addition, the brand introduced the video "The F stands for Freedom". It featured the poet and activist Kai-Isaiah Jamal, producer and journalist Alexandra Zhenova, human rights specialist Amy Sall and artist Amrit. The main characters were fed up with their thoughts about what they mean by freedom and what it means to them.
